ESG CEO Mark Newhall and CCO Ed Carr Address the Race to Effectively Adopt AI for Enterprise Leaders at WSA’s Manufacturer Forum for Industry Week 2025
Execution Specialists Group CEO Mark Newhall and Chief Commercial Officer Ed Carr recently addressed the critical but complicated race to effectively adopt AI for enterprise leaders at the Workplace Suppliers Association’s Manufacturer Forum for Industry Week 2025. The two leaders co-presented on the potential impact of artificial intelligence for manufacturers and distributors, and highlighted some of ESG’s direct experience and pragmatic insights navigating the implementation of the technology within Fortune 500 environments.
Workplace Solutions Association (WSA), powered by ISSA, serves “manufacturers, wholesalers, dealers, service providers, and manufacturer representatives across the workplace solutions channel”. The Manufacturer Forum, based in Denver this year, brought together more than 1,100 manufacturing and industry leaders to address the “unique challenges and opportunities in the workplace solutions industry”.
Throughout their presentation, Newhall and Carr emphasized the importance of focusing AI on comprehensive, high-value initiatives such as inventory prediction, price automation, usage monitoring, and customer churn prevention, rather than just automating small tasks, and provided use case examples for the Jan/San industry. The executive duo also detailed the critical shift from ideation to execution, addressing uncertainty by reinforcing the transition from “Are we there yet?” discussions into actionable “Here’s how we get there” strategies.
