Jodi Mercer Appointed to Foundation Board

Making Strategy Happen (MSH) Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Jodi Mercer to the Board of Directors in the Treasurer and Secretary roles.

MSH Foundation is the charitable arm of Execution Specialists Group (ESG), a strategy execution-focused consultancy,  that focuses on positively impacting communities by supporting non-profit organizations that empower those committed to achieving self-sufficiency and personal success.

Mercer joins the Foundation Board with more than 17 years of senior executive and distribution industry experience in both field and corporate finance and accounting. She currently serves as CFO of ESG, responsible for long term financial planning compliance and reporting and treasury functions.  Prior to ESG she was Vice President / Corporate Controller for Renewable Energy Systems Americas and held numerous financial leadership roles with  CRG West, Corporate Express and Clopay Corporation.

In addition to her finance background, Mercer volunteers as a mentor with Women’s Bean Project, one of the Foundation’s partner organizations, and has been actively involved with a number of animal welfare organizations as well.

“As CFO of ESG, Jodi has been instrumental in the development of the Foundation,” said Mark Newhall, President of the MSH Foundation and Founder and CEO of ESG. “We are delighted to have her join the Board of Directors, and her financial knowledge and experience will be an asset to our Foundation Board.”

“I am excited to join the MSH Foundation Board and continue the work we set out to do,” said Mercer. “I’m passionate about the Foundation’s purpose and truly believe we can help those who are committed to helping themselves. I like that we do it through various ways – leveraging our skills, expertise, technology, business acumen as well as financial support – all to improve the communities we’re involved in.”

Launched in December 2016, the MSH Foundation was established to positively impact communities nationwide by supporting nonprofit organizations with the donation of time and expertise of ESG employees. This, in turn, empowers those committed to achieving self-sufficiency, intending to give community members in need a hand up instead of a hand out.

The MSH Foundation follows the integrated philanthropy model of 1-1-1, which integrates giving back into the business model.  We contribute 1% profit, 1% equity and 1% of employees’ time into the Foundation. This means that a client’s investment in ESG comes along with an investment in the Foundation.
